The room was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. What more can you ask for? There was a bit of truck noise outside but it didnt keep us awake too bad. Airport shuttle is timely and gets you to the airport when you need to be there. The convenience of the long term parking and shuttle make this an excellent stop before a flight.

Had to fly out of CLT on a very early flight, chose this property to stay at. I had been a long time supporter of Holiday Inn's but felt that they had let their assets go a bit unattended for a while and stopped staying at their properties. This stay and property has completely changed my mind. From the minute I stepped through their doors, I was treated as a long lost friend, and felt completely at home. The front desk staff were exceptional, even assisted me with parking on site for my trip. (HUGE SERVICE). The room was very comfortable and spotless, one minor issue, the smoke detector was "beeping". A call to the front desk, and maintenance was at our room in less than 10 minutes. Awesome. We decided to have dinner on site, and the food was fantastic. Great portions, fairly priced, and service with a smile. In a world where customer service has all but disappeared, this Holiday Inn remembers how to make their guests feel wanted and special. Great Job here all, truly, this was a great experience! You should be very proud of your efforts!

I decided to stay here before a flight and I am so glad I did. This hotel was top notch. The staff was exceptional. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly. The rooms were clean and the food was great. A great way to get in vacation mode!

The front desk staff was very friendly, nice and helpful!!! I felt like they genuinely cared and went over and beyond to give great customer service! Youre drivers that I had were 2 different young men and they were very polite and helpful!! Excellent door to door service! I ONLY gave 4 stars because of the exceptional service I received from the drivers and front desk staff! If not for them I would have ranked lower! They are worth 5 stars! I did not give 5 stars because my pet peeve is hair and my bathroom had all kinds of hair everywhere. The floor, tub, face towel, and sink. Im not sure about the actual room bc the carpet is dark, but I can only imagine. I was grossed out by the hair. The room appeared very clean outside of the hair. My bed was very clean and there was no hair in sight, on any of the linen (thank goodness) My suggestion is that the cleaning staff just go over the carpet and bathroom floors with a vacuum. I was able to use Kleenex and Sanitizer wipes to get most of the hair up, but I should not have had to.

My daughter had a flight with a layover in Charlotte North Carolina. Her connecting flight was cancelled due to the major winter storm so she was stranded at the airport. I called about a dozen hotels for her to spend the night and they wouldnt allow her to stay because she is 18 yrs old. I said this was an emergency due to the weather and they told me our policy only allows guests 21 or older to stay without an adult. They would not make an exception due to the weather emergency. Marriott properties (Im a silver rewards member for 15 yrs) would not take the reservation as well as Hyatt, LaQuinta, and others. OUR HERO WAS AT THE HOLIDAY on River Road, his name is Allen!!!! He assured me he would take care of my daughter and sent a shuttle to pick her up at the airport. Allen was kind and welcoming to her when she arrived, as she was in tears due to the stress of fearing she would be alone at the airport all night. She went to the lobby to get a snack and asked how to pay for it, Allen said he would charge it to the room. When my daughter got back to her room, Allen called her and said he is not charging her for the ice cream and chips as she had been through enough all evening. THIS IS CUSTOMER CARE and SATISFACTION!!!! Allen at the front desk, Thank you for your kindness to my daughter!
